Convergent completes two Ontario Shell energy projects

Industry Energy Manufacturing energy storage manufacturing Sarnia ShellJoint venture reduces energy consumption of typical demand by one-third.
The joint venture projects with Shell New Energies reduce energy consumption by one-third of typical demand at the Brockville Lubricants Plant and Sarnia Manufacturing Centre that also includes a 10 megawatt behind-the-meter battery energy storage system.
Convergent will operate the systems to reduce the amount of electricity used during grid peak periods using its PEAK IQ asset management platform.
The company, with offices in Toronto, provides energy storage solutions in Ontario with more than 40 megawatts in service.
